First I’ll tell you about a couple of new blogs.
My friend and cohort at seminary, David Price, has started a blog. Here’s the link.
Also, my friend Kyle just returned home from the vacation from hell. It was pretty sobering to be talking to them at the time. He’s recorded their experience in a blog, and, frankly, it’s kind of funny. But really bad. Don’t tell his wife I said its funny! Read it here. I don’t know if he’ll continue his blog or not – the title makes me think this may be a one-time thing for now.
This morning I spun out and off of the interstate on my way to work. Slid into some mud and grass, doing a 180. Turns out it was no big deal as the car and I are fine – just some a.m. excitement. Though less than 30 seconds (I promise I’m not exaggerating) after I pulled across the ramp onto the opposite shoulder another car came along and did the exact same thing in the same place. Had I still been there we really would have crunched each other pretty good. Thankfully I was not still there, they were fine, and I even made it to work on time.
Steve Spurrier is reportedly heading to South Carolina? Don’t know what to think about that. I don’t know if he’ll really be the savior everybody will expect, though he will probably raise awareness, excitement, and recruiting efforts.
I finally finished my big paper yesterday. I’ll probably summarize some of it in coming days. As always, the process stinks but I did learn a lot and have certainly benefitted from it. Glad it’s done though.
