Well we finally made it back from the Gulf Coast late Monday night…. OK it was actually really early Tuesday morning. We had a fun trip though I must confess my disappointment with the weather. I was expecting sunny skies and temps approaching 70, but instead got rain and temps that nudged into the 50s (though Sunday was very nice). But I guess the point was hanging out with family, which was fun. There is still an incredible amount of devastation left from Hurricane Ivan even four months later. The good news is that a couple of years from now Gulf Shores should be better off – older rickety looking places replaced by newer development. The city council appears to be doing a good job of managing the real estate and development boom that is going on down there. Should be really cool in a couple of years. I’ll put up some pictures by this weekend.

There’s a new blog out there: go follow Nikki Tatom’s obsession with hot Calvinist guys and watch her evidently shooting all other suitors out of the water. She has a really funny story up about getting a pity clap after performing.

Vox Apologia is up – the topic is euthanasia. Worth a look. I think that the whole project is a really valuable use of blogging and the web – there’s great potential in it I think.

That’s enough. I’m tired.
