Great news out of Frankfort. Governor Fletcher is set to announce that the silly smiley face on the sun in the otherwise nice looking Kentucky license plates will not appear in future plates. For those who don’t live in Kentucky, the smiling sun has generally been considered obnoxious or just plain cheesy by most people, and many people resorted to electric tape or custom-made stickers (available at some stores) to cover it up. The new plates, beginning January 1, will feature the state’s new slogan, “Unbridled Spirit.”
And yes our smiley-face license plate will finally be heading to Hilton Head Sunday… we lingered in Greenville an extra day. There’s nothing like a nice week at the beach!
