Stryper, the Christian glam-metal band of the 1980’s, is apparently making a comeback. The band, whose best known song was “To Hell With the Devil,” has released a comeback CD called “Reborn” and is on a new tour. Apparently they continue their practice of throwing Bibles to their audience, and why not? They want people to go home and read them.
Now I was never honestly a Stryper fan, though I have herad some of their music. They always looked a little silly to me. I hadn’t heard about the startling comeback news, but then again I’m not really in tune with the sub-culture. Is this widely known in the world of Christian radio and whatnot? Well when The Darkness achieves wide popularity by playing throwback-style metal, I suppose the situation may be ripe for a Stryper comeback.
