We don’t get to the movie theatre much these days, so typically if we see a movie its via Blockbuster and so movie reviews are way out of date. Last weekend we rented “Must Love Dogs” and Friday night we actually got around to watching it. My wife is a sucker for romantic comedies and, truth be told, I don’t usually mind them. Occassionally I really like them. Last night was not one of those occassions because, as it turns out, “Must Love Dogs” is neither romantic nor could it properly be called a comedy. Actually I did laugh out loud at a couple of points near the end – but only because it was so trite, predictable, corny, and, well, bad.
Keri agreed that it was one of the worst movies she’s ever seen. The writing was pathetic – not even John Cusack, one of my favorite actors, could save it. The whole thing was just plain awful. So save a few bucks and an hour and a half of your life.
