Well now that Blogger is finally working, I would like to quickly pass along some suggested reading for your Thursday pleasure:
* Danny Akin, former VP of Southern Seminary and current president of Southeastern Seminary, has a wonderful article on Calvinism. In light of the red-hot rhetoric on both sides, Akin strives for a clear presentation of the issue in order to avoid common mischaracterizations. He presents a very balanced view and attempts to find middle ground. The article is apparently to be published in an SBC publication in the next month or two, but was emailed to students at Southeastern. Another blog copy/pasted the article here.
* Lark News is a funny place to visit for satirical Christian news. Here’s a funny story entitled: Church franchise a hit, but hostile take-overs rattle congregations. The satire is pretty timely I think.
* We learn on the Together for the Gospel Blog (expensive conference, but free blog and a near-daily read) that Al Mohler played the clarinet in the high school band. Interesting.
