Jeff Francouer hit a walk off grand slam with 2 outs to send the Braves to a dramatic 8-5 victory over the Washington Nationals. Great stuff – you can catch the video on the Braves website. Francouer had a rough first month but has turned it on in May. Hopefully his heroics can breathe new life into the struggling ball club.
All-star voting has begun. Catcher Brian McCann, shortstop Edgar Renteria, and outfielder Andruw Jones are all deserving of your vote. Adam LaRoche, on the other hand, stinks. Why the Braves can’t move Chipper to first base and play Wilson Betemit at third mystifies me.
